La Mandarina Organic
History
La Mandarina is a fruity category, organic coffee from the region of Colasay in Peru. It’s the first time that we’re working with the coffee’s producer, Yonal Fernandez, and we couldn’t be happier to start what we hope will be a long and fruitful relationship.
Our Roastery Manager, Mikolaj, visited the farm just last September and he, alongside the rest of us, have been so impressed with how the quality of coffees coming out of Peru have improved so much over the last few years. We’re really so proud and grateful to work with a host of producers and coffees in Peru currently, and share that wonderful quality with you.
La Mandarina particularly has a super fruity profile, lots of tropical character, and an intense sweetness. On the cupping table, we experience flavours of mandarin, red apple, and caramel.
We have decided to roast this coffee as omni roast, which means it can be enjoyed equally as espresso and filter.
